EVANGELISTIC PROSPECT AND CHALLENGES
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my
Father hath sent me, even so send I you. John 20:21 (KJV)
To God be the glory who has called us unto Himself and
redeemed us from the powers of darkness into His marvelous light. Therefore,
there is an intense need to understand what mission God has committed to us in
this endtime to fulfill His mandate upon our lives as His children.
In this understand we know the essence of our mission, its
scope and strategy of pursuing it. To be effective in our response to this
call, the gospel must be understood in its entirety. The gospel of salvation
and the gospel of the kingdom must be both preached and engaged if we will see
the outburst for which we have been
praying.
After this meeting, we shall no longer be found idle all the
day in this world , while what we have
been charged with is escaping fast from our hands. Each one of us must locate
himself or herself in the specific vineyard in which you will fulfil your mission
in this life while it is day for the night comes when no man can work.
Christ has showed us the message we must preach that will
bring such an effective impact. It must be Christ and Himself crucified. The
gospel is the power of God to change men and make them ready for heaven. We
came to conclude that God’s main agenda for His church is for us to know Jesus
and become conformed to His image and to grow up into Him in everything as we
attain the fullness of the stature of Christ Jesus.
Mission generally means being “sent”. It can
come in various forms.
You can view it on the perspective of one’s life’s mission
as various task committed to individuals; for example’
• Joseph
sent to Egypt to preserve the chosen family Gen. 45:5
• Esther
called to preserve the Jews Esther 4:14
• The
disciples sent forth to their work; Jn. 20:21; Matt. 10:16
• God
has entrusted to His people the task or mission of spreading the message of His
salvation to the world according to Bridgeway Bible Dictionary .
• Mission
in our context is what the master sent His church on earth to accomplish. It is
a mandate or assigned task we have to fulfill on earth.
• Everyone
so redeemed by His death on the cross and by His precious blood is now on
mission on the earth and he is an ambassador for Christ . He is not a servant
of mammon and the god of this world. He
is a servant of God pursuing the kingdom of God with all his strength
using every opportunity he has only as a
platform.
STRATEGIES FOR SOUL WINNING
• In
actualization of this divine calling, we should understand that it is a
strategic planning and effort. Church planting is essential aimed at
establishing souls for Christ.
• Any
office or position we are, should be an avenue to accomplish this mission. In
the professional settings, schools, businesses, trading etc. We are on the
mission in different capacity and working environment we found ourselves.
• These
can also be achieved in form of;
• Village
outreaches, prison visitations, personal evangelism, youth outreaches, children
evangelism, mission support, skill/empowerment trainings, school outreaches,
office evangelism etc.
• Nigeria
have a total population of above 190 million persons. Ebonyi State have over 2
million people. Ebonyi has 13 local governments with Abakaliki
• In
the light of all this, We are to strategically win these souls across the land
of Ebonyi for Christ.
• Let
it start from your small corner and environment. Villages are waiting for you
and your time is necessary. At your level and age, there are people and souls
that can be won by you.
• God
has said “Ye also” is
qualified to enter into His vineyard (Matt. 20:3-7)
