TOPIC:         KEEPING YOUR VIRGINITY (Part 1)

TEXT:           1st Corinthians 7:37-38

“Be ye holy as I am holy” – 1 Peter

"Nevertheless he that standeth steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well. So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better." 1 Cor. 7:37-38

INTRODUCTION

The Lord has called us unto holiness in living and walking uprightly 1 Thess. 4:7; therefore, it is God’s will that our body which is the temple of God be kept pure in all ramifications. We are not to give anybody our body or defile it 1 Thess. 4:3 5:5; A child of God should keep his or herself from sexual immorality and sin of the flesh and flee from any lust and appearance of evil. The sister are to keep their virginity and the brothers as well because it is well pleasing to the Lord.

We shall be expanding this message into different aspects to further understand it very well.

1.         What is Virginity?

Note: Nowhere in the Bible does it say that a woman's body belongs to her boyfriend or any other /man. They are not even to touch you;

 1st Corinthians 7:1, "Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman."

Until marriage, she is under her father's authority,

Activity:

1. Besides God, someday your body will belong to whom? (see 1st Corinthians 7:4)

2. The first sentence of 1st Corinthians 7:34 tells us that before marriage, a young lady should
